Kimi for Coding

Kimi for Coding is a code-specialized LLM by Moonshot AI. CtxSync supports Kimi as an LLM provider — bring your own API key and use Kimi models in your project chats.

Getting your API key

  1. Go to the Moonshot AI platform and sign in (or create an account).
  2. Navigate to API Keys in your account settings.
  3. Create a new API key.
  4. Copy the key.
  5. In CtxSync, go to Settings → API Keys.
  6. Select Kimi as the provider and paste your key.

Kimi 2.5 is purpose-built for coding tasks. It excels at understanding code structure, generating implementations, and answering technical questions about your codebase.

Once your key is saved, you can select the Kimi model when starting a new chat.
