Notion Connection

How it’s different from other sources

Unlike GitHub or file sources, Notion isn’t cloned into your container. Instead, your AI assistant accesses Notion live through the Notion API. This means:

  • The AI always sees the latest version of your Notion pages — no manual syncing needed.
  • Changes you make in Notion are immediately available in your next chat message.

Connecting your workspace

  1. Go to Integrations in the sidebar.
  2. Click Connect next to Notion.
  3. You’ll be redirected to Notion to authorize access.
  4. Select which pages and databases you want to give CtxSync access to. Only the pages you explicitly choose will be visible to your AI assistant.
  5. Click Allow access.

Once connected, the AI assistant in any of your projects can reference your Notion content.

What you can do with it

  • Ask the AI to reference design docs or product specs while working on code.
  • Pull information from Notion databases (e.g., task trackers, API specs).
  • Cross-reference documentation with your codebase in a single conversation.

Managing access

To change which pages are shared, disconnect and reconnect Notion from the Integrations page. You’ll be able to select different pages during re-authorization.
