AI Usage Policy

Last updated: 2026-06-13

1. How We Use AI

ctxsync uses AI assistants to help you understand, navigate, and work with your project context. This includes code repositories, web pages, uploaded files, and other sources you add. AI processes your content within isolated Docker containers to provide contextual assistance including explanations, suggestions, and analysis.

2. Data Isolation

Each user's code is processed in dedicated, sandboxed Docker containers. Your code and data are strictly isolated from other users. Containers are not shared between accounts.

3. No Training by ctxsync

ctxsync does not use your data to train, fine-tune, or improve AI models. We do not retain your data beyond what is necessary to provide the service.

4. AI Output Disclaimer

Important

AI-generated responses, code suggestions, and analysis may contain errors, inaccuracies, or incomplete information. You are solely responsible for reviewing, testing, and validating any AI output before using it in your projects.

5. Transparency

All interactions within ctxsync that involve AI processing are clearly identified as such. We are committed to transparency about how AI is used within the platform and comply with applicable EU AI Act requirements.

6. Third-Party AI Providers

When you use your own API keys, your data and prompts are sent to the LLM provider you configure. Each provider has their own terms of service, data retention, and training policies.

It is your responsibility to review and accept the terms of any third-party LLM provider whose API keys you use with ctxsync. We recommend verifying whether your chosen provider uses API data for model training and whether their data handling meets your requirements.
